The Clinical Staff Nurse at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is a skilled Registered Nurse responsible for planning, directing, and providing high-quality patient care over a 12-hour shift on a medical-surgical telemetry unit, following the Watson Model of Care.

This role requires graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, California RN license, and current BLS/ACLS. Preferred candidates have 1 year Med/Surg/Telemetry experience and are bilingual in Spanish, with EMR familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Nursing degree is required.
• Current California RN license and BLS/ACLS.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred (Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care).
• Certification in Medical/Surgical Nursing and CPI/ECPI related training preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates nursing process to plan and meet patient and family needs.
• Perform focused nursing assessments and adjust care plan as needed.
• Document care using IPOC and the Watson Model of Care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly using SBAR.
• Coordinate discharge planning with Care Managers during the stay.
• Provide basic hygiene and ADL assistance; maintain safety and cleanliness.
