Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Telemetry Float Pool at the New Brunswick campus. This role involves caring for patients across telemetry units, with opportunities to work across trauma, neurology, cardiology, oncology, and orthopedics in a Level 1 trauma setting.

The RN will participate in high-quality patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold Magnet-designated nursing standards.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• BSN preferred within 5 years of hire.
• At least 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Active New Jersey RN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Maintain safety and apply evidence-based practice.
• Report safety issues and medical errors.
• Know the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct task delegation to team members.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with the care team to manage and adjust the plan of care.
