Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Telemetry Float Pool at the New Brunswick campus. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care across units, including trauma and cardiology, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and patient safety.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, coordination with interdisciplinary teams, and adherence to Magnet-designated nursing excellence. Night shifts require flexibility and a commitment to safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Proficient computer skills (electronic health records, etc.).
• BSN preferred within 5 years of hire.
• At least 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Ensure patient safety and apply evidence-based practice.
• Report safety issues and medical errors promptly.
• Know the patient population served and adapt care accordingly.
• Supervise/delegate tasks to team members and collaborate with providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes.
