Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for the 7CE unit at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois. The role involves 24 hours per week with 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and rotating holidays, within a supportive nursing environment.

Responsibilities include assisting RNs with basic patient care, documenting data in EMR, and supporting patient transfers and admissions. Must have BLS within 45 days and be listed as Nurse Aide in good standing with the state

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers required within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry.
• GED or HS equivalency or HS diploma (or High School Graduate).

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activities and ambulation.
• Measure and document vital signs and input/output in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate patient observations to RN.
• Participate in admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Collect specimens and assist with tests following approved procedures.
