Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a Virtual Patient Observation Technician (VPOT) to monitor assigned patients through real-time video to enhance safety and enable timely interventions.

The VPOT verbally redirects at-risk patients and communicates with nursing staff when further action is required, while documenting observations per standards and supporting performance improvement and a ServiceFirst, caring environment for patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Texas Nursing Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Certification with listed bodies.
• BLS certification required.
• At least two years of related clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant real-time video monitoring of assigned patients.
• Verbally redirect at-risk behavior and alert nursing staff when needed.
• Document observations according to standards.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Promote a customer-friendly environment using ServiceFirst practices.
