Job summary

Harris Health in Houston, TX is seeking a Virtual Patient Observation Technician (VPOT) to provide constant, real-time video monitoring of assigned patients, verbally redirecting at-risk behavior and coordinating with nursing staff for interventions.

The VPOT will document observations, participate in quality initiatives, uphold ServiceFirst standards and Language of Caring with patients, families, and staff, and maintain strong communications in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus technical skills/training in the specialty area.
• Texas Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• Two years of related clinical experience preferred (patient care, virtual observation, telemetry, hospital setting).

Responsibilities

• Provide constant, real-time video monitoring of assigned patients.
• Verbally redirect patients from at-risk behaviors and notify nursing staff for intervention.
• Document observations according to standards and participate in quality initiatives.
• Support a customer-friendly environment using ServiceFirst behaviors and Language of Caring with patients, families, and staff.
