Job summary

Harris Health in Houston is seeking a Virtual Patient Observation Technician (VPOT) to monitor assigned patients in real time and help keep safety standards high. The VPOT verbally redirects at-risk behaviors and communicates with nursing staff for additional intervention.

You will document observations, participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain a customer-friendly environment while using ServiceFirst behaviors and Language of Caring with patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent plus technical skills/training appropriate to the specialty area.
• Texas Nursing Assistant Certification; or Medical Assistant Certification from AMT/AAMA/NCCT/NHA/NAHP and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time video monitoring of assigned patients.
• Redirect at-risk behavior and communicate with nursing staff for intervention.
• Document observations and participate in quality initiatives.
