Job summary

Visionworks on-site Telehealth Specialist is the face of our patient care, delivering a friendly, human experience during telemedicine exams. This part-time role supports remote eye exams, assists patients, and ensures accurate records and smooth transitions to the optometrist and sales floor.

As a part-time team member, you’ll help maintain the exam lane, handle basic testing, restock supplies, and answer phones while providing exceptional service to every patient.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist remote eye exam processes and liaise between patients and Telemedicine physicians.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and relay important information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate on products and services.
• Support day-to-day operations: restock inventory, clean equipment, and answer phones.

The Role

A Visionworks Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS)/Optometric Assistant (Telehealth)is the very face of our patient care and is dedicated to ensuring the best possible journey for every patient during our Telemed remote eye exam. This person is trained and knowledgeable about eye health and preliminary testing, optics, our products/services and managed vision care. The TS personally takes the patient through their entire Visionworks experience ensuring their eye exam and eyewear needs are met in a simple, human and bold way.

• Personally assist remote eye exam processes and act as liaison between patients and Telemedicine Remote Physicians
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transitionpatient fromdoctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye careneeds.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience
