Job summary

POD Health, a Brooklyn-based healthcare tech company, is seeking a Telehealth Support Specialist to facilitate virtual visits and patient outreach. You will coordinate appointments, prepare patients for visits, and ensure smooth handoffs between patients and providers.

You will document visit outcomes in EHR systems, adhere to HIPAA, and collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and front-office staff to optimize visit flow. Bilingual candidates are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish, Russian, or Cantonese required.
• 1-2 years of telehealth experience.
• Strong grasp of patient care procedures and medical terminology.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Strong organizational skills to manage patient records and appointment scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Virtual Visit Facilitation: Initiate outbound calls to patients at scheduled times to connect them to providers and ensure readiness.
• Appointment Reminders & Outreach: Conduct reminder calls and follow-up to reduce no-shows; communicate changes as needed.
• Provider Schedule Support: Monitor provider schedules and address gaps or connectivity issues.
• Documentation & Systems: Document visit status and outcomes in EHR and scheduling platforms; maintain notes and confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Coordination & Communication: Collaborate with providers, assistants, nurses, and front-office staff to ensure smooth visit flow and clear patient communication.
