Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified Telecom Technician to support the O&M Telecommunication contract at Savannah River Site (SRS). You will install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Avaya and data communications equipment, including Cat5e/6 cabling and cross-connects, in a mission-critical environment.

Requirements include US citizenship, a high school diploma, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain DOE clearance; valid driver's license and ability to pass drug and

• Must pass an alcohol and substance abuse test
• Must be able to obtain DOE Clearance

Responsibilities

• Interpret Work Orders and Trouble Tickets, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair Avaya digital, analog, VoIP, and speakerphones.
• Install and terminate Cat5E/Cat6/Cat6A cable and related hardware.
• Be able to discuss/demonstrate knowledge of 4 pair color code.
• Install cross-connects for data and voice jacks; terminate patch panels and faceplates.
• Maintain material inventory on vehicles, tools, test equipment and assigned vehicle.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following codes and standards.
• Provide documentation on safety, security, quality and billing.
• Be able to pass and receive a Security Clearance.
