Job summary

Amentum seeks a skilled telecom technician to support the Savannah River Site's O&M Telecommunication contract, installing, maintaining, and repairing Avaya, VoIP, and related telecom gear.

You will interpret wiring diagrams, terminate cables, test systems, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on site in Aiken, SC. The role requires 3–5 years of experience and U.S. citizenship with DOE clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have a current driver’s license
• Must pass an alcohol and substance abuse test
• Must be able to pass to obtain DOE Clearance
• Must be able to work flexible hours
• Pass pre-hire drug screening as per policy

Responsibilities

• Interpret Work Orders and Trouble Tickets, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair Avaya digital, analog, VoIP, and speakerphones.
• Install and terminate Cat5E/Cat6/Cat6A cable and related hardware.
• Install and terminate patch panels, jacks, and faceplates.
• Test cables, download test results, and document findings.
• Maintain material inventory and ensure safe work environment.
• Possess ability to pass Security Clearance and DOE clearance
