Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience providing inside plant support for telephone or telecommunication systems.
• Security+ certification is required.
• Extensive experience with Avaya switches and related concepts.
• Experience leading a team and guiding team members.
• Must be a US citizen and have a Secret clearance.
• Ability to read, assess, and interpret testing results.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support and orientation for telephony infrastructure at Joint Base Charleston.
• Repair, replace, program, and maintain switches, hardware, and networking equipment.
• Offer technical assistance to users to minimize IT disruptions.
• Provide hands-on and remote support for telephone installations and configurations.
• Manage user accounts and credentials; reset passwords as needed.
• Maintain infrastructure devices using approved software tools.
• Contribute to meetings and IT projects as required.
• Analyze issues, identify problems, and resolve conflicts.
• Update and generate documentation for communication systems.
