Job summary

VertiGIS is seeking a Solutions Engineer with a strong technology background to translate technical value into business outcomes. You will support global business development for telecom solutions by defining and delivering demonstrations that show business value, from problem to solution, across phone, boardroom, and events.

You will build applications that illustrate how our technology solves real-world problems and work with sales, partners, and customers to maximize value and adoption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a similar or related role.
• Experience in product management, product marketing, technical presales, or solutions engineering in telecom software.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Business analysis or solution architecture experience.
• Understanding of geography, GIS, and Esri technology.
• Diploma or degree in relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and product expertise to sales, customers, and partners during the sales process.
• Create and showcase product demonstration solutions.
• Develop and maintain an enterprise-level demonstration environment with telecom software and GIS.
• Coordinate resolution of technical/product issues during sales.
• Work with customers and partners to maximize technology benefits.
• Translate business requirements into architecture and design specifications.
• Define and craft proof-of-concept applications.
• Support and deliver presentations, training, and workshops at events.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing to develop product marketing resources.
• Coordinate with products team to position key capabilities.
• Develop in-depth technical knowledge of products and value proposition.
• Educate sales/partner teams on business value of GIS-enabled architecture.
