Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) to supervise project teams, develop plans and budgets, and guide design and construction activities.

You will coordinate with owners, contractors, and engineers to ensure timely delivery of integrated communications and security systems. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in telecom/electrical projects, strong planning and cost-control skills, and experience with Information Transport Systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with a telecommunications integrator or electrical contractor with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
• Experience working on telecommunication and electronic security projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.
• Experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
• Experience installing Information Transport Systems.
• Experience using MS Office Suite, Sophisticated Project Management, CPM Scheduling, Cost modeling, and AutoCAD software.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts in producing precision plans, blueprints, and drawings for electrical and security projects.
• Familiar with standard deliverables and work processes on construction and integration projects.
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills; proven problem solver and planner.
• Able to organize one's own activities and work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with leading a team that provides Communications and Electronic Safety and Security infrastructure, ensuring design efficiency and contractual compliance.
• Assisting in the design and deployment of Information Transport Systems and telecommunications systems.
• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
• Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution; price and track changes.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses; maintain as-built records as work progresses.
• Document project issues/conditions and plan for completion and punch lists.
• Develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work; read blueprints and project specs.
• Coordinate with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve construction issues.
