Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) as a training position to learn supervising employees on a project, prepare strategic plans and budgets, and develop comprehensive project plans with data-driven analysis.

You will help lead design and construction teams in technology systems integration, including passive and active telecom infrastructure, and contribute to ensuring design efficiency and contractual compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Engineering/Construction Management or similar.
• 5+ years with telecom integrator or electrical contractor.
• Experience with telecom and electronic security projects $500k–$10M.
• Experience with drawings, subcontracts, addendums, specs, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
• Experience installing Information Transport Systems.
• Proficient in MS Office, project management, CPM scheduling, cost modeling, AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of design techniques for electrical and security projects.
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills; ability to plan and organize work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team delivering communications and security infrastructure, including ISP/OSP pathways, cabling, networking, CCTV, access control, A/V.
• Design and deploy Information Transport Systems and telecoms.
• Manage day-to-day project operations.
• Identify and resolve change orders and track them.
• Plan cash flow and monitor expenses.
• Maintain as-builts and project documentation.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, and engineers to resolve issues.
• Communicate with external stakeholders and ensure timely decisions.
