Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Experience as a telecommunications or field service technician.
• Experience with business telephone systems installation and repair (Avaya, Toshiba, Panasonic, Mitel).
• Telecom cabling, networking, and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; extensive travel may be required.
• Must pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and maintain telecommunications systems.
• Evaluate customer needs and recommend solutions.
• Perform routine testing for peak performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Install and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT5/CAT6).
• Perform basic computer networking tasks in Windows and Mac environments.
• Order and replace components for telecom systems.
• Provide clear communication and professional customer service.
