Job summary

RANGE is seeking a Combination Services Technician to install, maintain and troubleshoot telecommunications services. You will locate underground facilities, install cabling and CPE, and coordinate with other teams to update records and bills. On-call rotation and occasional travel are required.

The role emphasizes advanced troubleshooting of network equipment, safety, and carrying out site surveys and repairs to maintain service continuity.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED, or equivalent required.
Minimum of 5 years of telecom data services experience.
Valid, state-issued driver’s license; pole/tower climbing certs may be required.
Preferred: Class A CDL, Tower and Pole certifications, and electronics/telecom schooling.

Responsibilities

Install and transfer voice, data, ethernet, and non-regulated services per design.
Install and maintain copper or fiber cabling in aerial or buried applications.
Install subscriber carrier systems and network devices; read cable schematics.
Locate underground facilities and coordinate safe digging with teams.
Repair and troubleshoot damaged cables, equipment, and alarms; perform site surveys.
Document installation/repair forms and update billing/facility records.
Travel as needed; on-call rotation evenings/weekends; ensure network stability.
