Job summary

TDS Telecom is seeking a Field Service Technician to support on-site installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of telecom products. You will interact directly with customers, provide proactive service, and identify opportunities to sell TDS services while demonstrating products.

The role requires travel within the Spokane area, training initially Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm PT, with later schedule adjustments and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel and be on-call/standby as needed.
• Ability to pass all components of the Safety Course curriculum.
• DOT (GVRW) compliance when operating vehicles.
• A+ certification and computer networking experience.
• Experience with installing and maintaining telephone and network equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, test, splice, repair, and maintain telephone and network equipment at customer sites.
• Identify defective cable location using test equipment and repair buried/overhead cables.
• Perform pole climbing and operate construction equipment as required.
• Provide troubleshooting support and respond to trouble dispatches.
• Educate customers about TDS products and services and pursue sales opportunities.
