Job summary

TDS Telecommunications LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to assist with on-site installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of telecommunications products. You will interact directly with customers, proactively identify needs, and promote TDS services.

The role requires willingness to reside within a 60-minute drive of the Post Falls, ID area, with training initially, followed by a rotating shift and on-call duties. Strong customer service and sales aptitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Available for on-call/standby and overtime as needed.
• Pass background check per customer requirements.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements for operating vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, test, and repair on-site telephone and network equipment.
• Locate defects in cables and fiber, perform splicing and maintenance.
• Support record systems and cross connects; manage network elements.
• Provide proactive customer service and educate customers on TDS products.
• Gain knowledge of grounding, wiring, and telecom standards.
