Job summary

TDS Telecom seeks a Field Service Technician in Spokane, WA to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain telecommunications products at customer sites. You’ll interact face-to-face with customers and identify opportunities to educate and sell TDS services.

Responsibilities include on-site installations, testing, cable locating, splicing, and coordinating with field teams. Willingness to travel within limits and to be available for on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license.
• Willingness to be on-call/standby and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-site installations, troubleshooting, testing, splicing, repairing, and maintaining customer premises equipment and related facilities.
• Identify defective cables and perform cable fault acceptance tests.
• Provide troubleshooting support and respond to dispatches.
• Educate customers and sell TDS products/services during service calls.
• Maintain knowledge of standards and grounding practices for outside plant facilities.
