Job summary

Connected Solutions is seeking a Field Technician to provide on-site service for telecommunications systems across MDU, residential, and commercial sites. You will install, test, repair, and maintain equipment including modems, routers, ONTs, and fiber components, travel up to 90% and sometimes stay overnight.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, safety focus, and ability to train others. You will document work orders, communicate with customers, and ensure quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Three to five years in a Field Technician role.
• Proficiency with telecom test equipment (signal meters, OTDRs) and fiber optic systems.
• Ability to train others and communicate clearly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and activate telecom equipment including modems, routers, antennas, ONTs.
• Perform fiber splicing and terminations for FTTH, MDU, and enterprise networks.
• Test and diagnose systems to ensure signal integrity and safety compliance.
• Travel up to 90% and occasionally overnight; complete orders and logs in digital systems.
