Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is hiring a Field Operations Technician in Lansing, MI. The role focuses on restoration activities, preventative maintenance, and installation of MACD on Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena gear, supporting optical, electrical, voice and data services.

With five+ years in telecom, you will work on-site at customer locations, perform testing with OTDRs, travel with a company vehicle, and uphold Ledcor's safety standards while delivering best-in-class customer service.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in telecommunications, installation and service.
• Strong customer-focused approach with integrity and empathy.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide elite customer service experience and de-escalate concerns professionally.
• Perform on-site installation and repair of internet, copper and fiber cabling, routers, and demarcation extensions.
• Identify and solve technical issues such as cable runs and data circuits; swap out components.
• Adhere to safety programs; travel with a company-provided vehicle; work in varying weather and confined spaces.
