Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Field Operations Technician to perform installation, repair, configuration and testing of MACD activities on Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment. You will work with fiber, copper, and data circuits while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years in telecommunications and strong communication skills. A technical college degree is preferred; travel with company vehicle is expected in this field.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service.
• Positive, can-do attitude with a customer-focused approach.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently in a dynamic environment.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service experience to every client
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de-escalation techniques
• Perform on-site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking equipment
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times
