Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Superintendent to lead daily field operations for projects across multiple states, based in Mobile, AL. The role emphasizes delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

You will manage field staff, subcontractors, and trades, while enforcing safety programs and coordinating procurement. The position requires coordinating plan execution, supervising crews, and maintaining project quality.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of supervising construction projects.
• Underground fiber installation knowledge is a plus (plow and HDD).
• Two-year college, trade, or technical diploma preferred.
• Understanding of construction practices, costs, and budgets.
• Ability to plan schedules and manage moderate problems within guidelines.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Military experience equivalent to 12N or 12H is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, building codes, and established quality standards including oversight of PQP requirements and testing.
• Champion site safety by enforcing corporate and regulatory standards, leading safety meetings, and supporting development of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP).
• Monitor short-term schedules, estimate activity durations and material needs, and track progress to meet project milestones and completion dates.
• Direct field staff and coordinate labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources to achieve project goals related to safety, schedule, and quality.
• Supervise craft workers and subcontractors, providing guidance and maintaining accountability for performance and site expectations.
• Manage procurement tasks such as preparing purchase requisitions and reviewing supplier and subcontractor invoices.
