Job summary

The Telecom Electronic Technician II at BNSF Railway maintains communications systems across the network. You will install, repair, and test radios, MW, RF data links, IP networks, VoIP, cameras and related devices in a safety-sensitive environment.

This full-time role (40 hrs/wk) involves rotating shifts, on-call duties, potential overtime, and moderate travel within the seniority region. Training is provided at the company training center with on-the-job instruction.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and communicate (speak, hear and understand) English.
• 2 years minimum of verifiable electronics experience or post-high school training.
• Must pass Electronic Technician II qualification test with 80% or better.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain various telecommunications equipment including radios, MW, and RF data link equipment.
• Install, assemble, repair, adjust, test and maintain wired and wireless systems and devices (IP networks, VoIP, cameras).
• Perform safety-sensitive work in varied weather and environments.
• Travel within the assigned seniority region as required.
• Complete company-paid training at the BNSF Training Center.
