Embark on a fulfilling career at BNSF Railway where joining the Telecommunications Department offers you the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team focused on maintaining the communications systems that help keep trains running safely and efficiently. The Telecom Electronic Technician II ensures the safe and efficient operation of the railroad by installing, repairing, and maintaining essential communication systems and devices.
This is a full-time (40hrs/wk) position, 6 days a week (5 regular working days and one on-call day). Subject to on-call, overtime, alternate shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shift assignments are governed by union agreement, typically based on seniority.
Moderate travel is required. While the work location is headquartered, there will be travel and work within the assigned seniority region at times for an extended time.
Training for this position is company-paid on-the-job and classroom training and will include travel to the BNSF Training Center.
