Job summary

BNSF Railway in Havre, MT, is seeking a Telecommunications Electronics Technician II to support the network's communications systems. You will install, repair, and maintain radios, MW, RF data link gear, IP networks, VoIP, cameras, and AEI devices, with travel within the seniority region as required.

The role is full-time with a 40-hour week, on-call rotations, and potential overtime. Training is company-paid, including travel to the BNSF Training Center.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum verifiable electronics experience or post-high school training.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb on/off equipment.
• Soldering experience and ability to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic diagrams.
• Must pass Electronic Technician II qualification test with 80% or better.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including radios and RF data link equipment.
• Test, configure, and maintain IP networks, VoIP, cameras, AEI systems, and train devices.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment under varied weather and travel within region.
