Ledcor Technical Services in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Superintendent to lead daily field operations across projects. You will ensure on-schedule delivery, budget adherence, and the highest standards of quality and safety while directing field staff, contractors, and tradespeople.

This site-based role requires strong leadership, clear execution of project plans, and the ability to keep multiple projects running smoothly as travel across states is required.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent
• Experience with underground fiber installation methods a plus (Plow and HDD)
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline is an asset
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Ability to supervise craft employees and sub-contractors
• Strong organizational and planning skills

Responsibilities

• Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
• Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations
• Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules
• Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
• Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
• Participates in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations
• Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
• Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents
