Job summary

Star Construction LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure. You will determine bore paths, operate drilling equipment, and verify utilities through potholing while ensuring safety and efficiency on site.

You’ll maintain bore schedules, perform site setup and cleanup, and handle equipment maintenance. The role requires a valid CDL with tanker endorsement (or willingness to obtain) and experience with drilling equipment, in

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license (not Provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment, including capabilities, limitations, and bore setup/design processes.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize mud mixing systems.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
