Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas is seeking a part-time Teen Services Professional to deliver after-school programs for teens, build relationships, and support a safe club environment. You will help recruit members, transport youths, and supervise activities in a fast-paced community setting.

The role emphasizes youth development, leadership, and collaboration with staff, parents, and community partners. CPR/First Aid is required and a Texas driver’s license may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 21+ years old.
• At least one year experience working with children.
• Formal training and/or experience in youth development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Clear driving record to drive 15-passenger vans.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Ability to de-escalate problems and solve day-to-day club issues.
• Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.
• Ability to manage a group of children across activities.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate programs and activities for teens 13–18 reflecting BGCD/BGCA core areas.
• Assist with recruitment to reach 100 teen members.
• Transport teens to programs in BGCD vans.
• Ensure safe implementation of all programs; monitor equipment, facilities, and age-appropriateness.
• Orient new members to programs, events, and club rules.
• Implement, monitor, and evaluate programs and services for members.
• Maintain attractive, neat program areas and current bulletin boards.
• Assist Program Director in all phases of club operations.
• Manage membership and program registration.
• Maintain positive club culture with high energy and teamwork.
• Participate in staff meetings and foster relationships with parents and community.
