Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas is seeking a part-time Youth Development Professional to deliver after-school programming, engage youth, and maintain a welcoming, safe environment. The role requires working with children 6–18 across BGCA program areas, with emphasis on supervision, behavior guidance, and program delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 18+ years old.
• Background check required; age thresholds apply.
• Minimum one year experience working with children.
• Experience with youth development and creating engaging learning experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate youth.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required (course provided after hire).

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate programs for ages 6–18 reflecting BGCA core areas.
• Ensure safe implementation of programs and monitor equipment and facilities.
• Orient new members to program areas and club safety rules.
• Implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and activities.
• Keep areas attractive, neat, and current on bulletin boards.
• Assist Program Director in all phases of Club operations.
