Job summary

Ymca-of-Greater-Brandywine is seeking staff to plan, organize, and deliver value-driven skill development programs for participants in alignment with YMCA goals. The role emphasizes enthusiastic leadership, record-keeping, and safety in a supportive environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of teaching or instructional experience, can develop and teach skills, and are capable of using technology for program needs. Certifications must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of prior teaching or instructional experience.
• Training and qualifications in the specialized instructional area.
• Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills.
• Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs.
• Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and leads specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
• Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
• Organizes and maintains program records including attendance records and rosters.
• Manages all equipment.
• Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
• Communicates effectively and timely with participants and parents.
• Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures or referrals.
• Ensures compliance with YMCA policies and procedures.
