Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine in Pennsylvania seeks a programs coordinator to plan, organize and deliver value-driven skill development for participants, aligned with YMCA goals. You will lead activities, manage records, and ensure safety.

The role requires 18+, a high school diploma or GED, 5 years advanced experience in a specialized skill, 4 years teaching, plus training qualifications. You will use technology for program needs and obtain certifications within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years advanced experience in a specialized skill.
• Minimum of 4 years teaching specialized skill.
• Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area.
• Demonstrated advance knowledge of specialized skill.
• Ability to use technology for programmatic needs.
• Obtain and maintain all required certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and leads activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
• Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
• Organizes and maintains program records (attendance rosters, etc.).
• Manages all equipment and ensures safety.
• Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
• Communicates effectively with participants and parents.
• Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promotes other YMCA programs by distributing brochures or referrals.
• Ensures compliance with YMCA policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
