Job summary

The Ymca of Greater Brandywine is seeking a participant-focused Youth Program Assistant to plan, organize, and deliver value-driven skill development activities for children and youth in our community. You will assist with activities, maintain safety, and promote YMCA programs while following YGBW policies.

Applicants must be at least 15 years old and ready to demonstrate teaching skills; prior program experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists with specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
• Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
• Manage all equipment to ensure safety.
• Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
• Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
