Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine in Berwyn, PA seeks to plan, organize and deliver value-driven skill development programs for participants in line with YMCA goals.

You will lead activities, maintain records, supervise equipment, and promote safety, while communicating effectively with participants and parents. Requires 18+ with a HS diploma or GED, 1 year teaching experience, and Friday night availability; training will be provided within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1-year prior teaching or instructional experience.
• Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area.
• Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills.
• Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs.
• Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.
• Friday Night Availability (6:30pm - 8:30pm).

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and leads specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
• Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
• Organizes and maintains program records including, but not limited to attendance records, rosters, etc
• Manages all equipment.
• Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
• Communicates effectively and timely with program participants and parents.
• Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
