Job summary

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – East Liberty is seeking a Library Services Associate-Teen for a full-time role at the East Liberty location. The Teen Library Assistant will mentor teens, connect them to resources, and help develop youth-centric programs with a focus on digital media, STEM, and community engagement.

• Minimum four years of public service or library experience with customer service.
• Physical ability to lift 25+ pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with teens in the community to fulfill informational and recreational needs.
• Facilitate teen programs around Connected Learning with focus on digital media, STEM and emerging technologies.
• Provide high quality reference and readers advisory using print and electronic resources; assist with circulation and shelving.
