Job summary

The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Library Services Associate-Teen, PT at CLP-Main. You will mentor teens aged 11-19, connect them with resources, and help run youth programs in a dynamic urban library setting.

The ideal candidate has experience with teens in urban environments, strong communication, and a commitment to equity, inclusion, and collaboration. Regular nights and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or four years of relevant public service experience.
• Experience serving teens and families in an urban setting preferred.
• Ability to travel locally for outreach and professional development.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with teens to meet informational and recreational needs.
• Support teen programs focused on literacy, technology, and collaboration.
• Manage the Teenspace, including setup and engaging displays.
• Coordinate volunteers and interns to support library services.
• Provide reference and readers advisory services to patrons.
