Job summary

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is seeking a Customer Engagement Associate to deliver welcoming, patron-centered service across the Mt. Washington location. You will assist customers, handle circulation tasks, and promote library services while supporting staff and daily operations.

The role requires 25 hours per week, including days, evenings and weekends, with compensation of $16.00 per hour. A positive, diverse community focus is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least six months of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by locating materials and answering questions.
• Check materials in and out and register library cards.
• Provide access to library services and materials.
• Demonstrate computer use and library equipment.
• Maintain shelves and revise shelves as needed.
• Handle monetary transactions.
• Resolve customer issues and escalate when necessary.
• Create content for internal/external CLP sources.
