Job summary

Certified Hvac Inc is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across client sites in Orlando and surrounding areas.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, independence, excellent communication, safety adherence, and willingness to travel locally; overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated with effective time management skills.
  • Ability to complete required service reports and paperwork accurately.
  • Willingness to travel locally to customer locations.
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, system modifications, overhauls, and equipment start-ups.
  • Troubleshoot rooftop package units (RTUs), split systems, ventilation systems, DX systems, and related HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment failures using appropriate testing instruments and perform necessary repairs.
  • Repair and replace electrical components, including control wiring and high-voltage circuits.
  • Service refrigeration equipment, including rack systems, walk-in coolers and freezers, and ice machines.
  • Service water‑cooled and air‑cooled chillers.
  • Repair, rebuild, install, and replace pumps.
  • Complete service documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow technicians while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Follow all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in an on‑call rotation and work overtime or weekends as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Summary
