Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• EPA Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform repairs, overhauls, start-ups, and commissioning of commercial boilers, HVAC equipment, and refrigeration systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and recommend corrective actions as needed.

• Prepare for service calls by reviewing site conditions and coordinating work activities.
• Complete service documentation and reports accurately and on time.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Perform repairs, overhauls, start-ups, and commissioning of commercial boilers, HVAC equipment, and refrigeration systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and recommend corrective actions as needed
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues using technical manuals, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering specifications
• Perform equipment replacements, modifications, and upgrades based on customer needs and project requirements
• Prepare for service calls by reviewing site conditions, gathering materials, and coordinating work activities
• Complete service documentation, work orders, and required reports accurately and on time
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a safe and organized manner
• Stay current on manufacturer products, installation requirements, service procedures, and industry best practices
• Provide technical support and clear communication to customers regarding equipment operation and repair recommendations
• Coordinate with office staff, project managers, and fellow technicians to ensure timely completion of work
• Participate in on-call rotations and work overtime or weekends as required

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC/R service experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control systems
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• EPA Certification required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in confined spaces, on rooftops, and on ladders

Preferred Skills

• Experience servicing commercial refrigeration systems
• Experience with boiler systems and hydronic heating equipment
• Knowledge of building automation and control systems
• Manufacturer certifications or factory training
• OSHA safety training
• Strong customer service and communication skills
