Job summary

Gradient AI, based in Boston, seeks a Technical Operations Manager to lead TechOps and ensure high availability of critical applications and infrastructure. This role partners with DevOps and SecOps to drive operational excellence in a fast-growing environment.

You will define a vision for monitoring, incident response, and compliance, while mentoring a high-performing team and maintaining SLAs. A hybrid, in-office role supports collaboration and rapid execution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing applications and IT infrastructure
• 2+ years managing high-performing teams
• Ability to think long-term strategy while setting short-term goals
• Experience implementing monitoring and logging of SaaS cloud environments
• Effective communication across all levels, including senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Oversee TechOps, responsible for major IT initiatives, the internal and external helpdesks
• Partner with DevOps to deploy, maintain, and manage high availability cloud application, database, and IT infrastructure
• Partner with SecOps to mature and implement security posture
• Create tools for system health monitoring, SLA compliance, and alerting/notification
• Establish and maintain metrics to assess team bandwidth
• Evolve processes for incident management, escalation, and reporting
• Maintain staff coverage for SLAs and response times
