Job summary
Gradient AI is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to lead a team responsible for maintaining our critical applications and infrastructure in a hybrid Boston-based role. You will drive operational excellence, partner with DevOps and SecOps, and implement monitoring, security, and incident processes to support rapid growth.
Ideal candidates have 7+ years in applications/IT infrastructure, 2+ years leading teams, and strong cross-functional communication.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience managing applications and IT infrastructure.
- 2+ years managing high-performing teams.
- Experience defining vision and strategy for operational excellence in rapid growth environments.
- Strong communication across all levels including senior leadership and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Oversee TechOps including major IT initiatives and helpdesks.
- Partner with DevOps to deploy, maintain, and manage high-availability cloud apps and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with SecOps to mature security posture.
- Create tools for system health monitoring, SLA compliance, and alerting.
- Track metrics to assess team bandwidth and capacity.
- Improve incident management, escalation, and reporting processes.
- Ensure staff coverage for SLAs and response times.
