Northbridge Public Schools Technology Department in Whitinsville, Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Technology Support Specialist to resolve user technical issues across the district for teachers, staff, administrators, and students.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in computer science related field, or commensurate technology support experience.
  • A+ certification a plus.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in an educational environment.
  • Working knowledge of hardware and network management tools and protocols, including Active Directory, security, connectivity, and troubleshooting.
  • Must have experience utilizing a trouble ticket system to manage IT issues.
  • Must possess outstanding communication skills and the ability to work with all district staff members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT HelpDesk support to all four school and administration buildings, teachers, staff, students, and administrators throughout the district.
  • Prioritize and manage IT HelpDesk trouble tickets to resolution.
  • Troubleshoot technology issues including PC repair, password resets, network connectivity, printing, peripherals, mouse and keyboard, LCD projectors, and presentation setups.
  • Perform hardware, software, and firmware updates and upgrades as required.
  • Coordinate and perform installation of hardware and software in district classrooms, offices, and educational spaces in collaboration with the Director of Technology.
  • Manage a mobile schedule and actively resolve HelpDesk issues across the district.

Job Requirements

  • At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
