Job Goal:
Provide support to Region 4 ESC staff and district personnel with distance learning initiatives and technologies. Participate in projects and activities that advance Region 4’s distance learning goals and initiatives.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Certification
- Recent vendor specific certifications
Experience
- Two years of experience supporting and using audio/visual equipment and distance learning technologies, such as videoconferencing platforms, networking tools, and other productivity applications.
- Two years of experience troubleshooting, supporting, and using professional-grade audio-visual equipment
- One year of experience supporting large face-to-face, hybrid, and/or virtual conferences
- Three years of experience troubleshooting hardware and software within Windows 11, Google, and iOS environments
- Two years of experience developing training or help guides and materials for presenters on using conference technologies
- Experience supporting screen sharing technologies such as Apple TV, Barco Clickshare, Chromecast, and Miracast.
Special Knowledge and Skills
- Working proficiency in use of audio-visual (A/V), distance learning, online instruction, and videoconferencing tools
- Working proficiency in use of Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, and the iOS environment
- Strong grammar, writing, oral, communication, and collaboration skills
- Proficient in the creation of help guides and video tutorials
- Proficient in providing technical support on a variety of technology tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Recent vendor-specific certifications - Microsoft, Google, Apple, Zoom, Canvas LMS
- Experience with Zoom, Teams, Canvas LMS. Administrator experience with these tools is a plus
- Experience writing or editing contracts desired
- Experience in supporting and maintaining Crestron systems including touch panels, soundbars, mic pods, and cameras.
Major Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency with the use of a variety of technologies, including but not limited to distance learning, videoconferencing, and audio-visual technologies.
- Provide technical support and best practices on the use of hardware and software tools to internal and external customers, primarily in the areas of distance learning, videoconferencing, and audio-visual support.
- Problem-solve, research, and be a self-taught learner when addressing technical issues and fulfilling technology requests and services.
- Demonstrate collaboration, excellence, innovation, integrity, reliability, and a service mindset when assigned to different projects and tasks.
- Maintain hardware and software in the conference center, including but not limited to preventative maintenance on projectors, flat panels, podiums, kiosks, audio system and microphones, cabling and wireless display infrastructure.
- Create help guides on a variety of technology tools, including but not limited to distance learning, videoconferencing, and audio-visual technologies.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment as well as on individualized projects.
- Engage in professional development opportunities and attain certifications to stay current with specific knowledge and meet professional goals.
- Fulfill on-call rotational status for weekends, evenings, and holidays on an as needed basis.

Salary: $73,491 to $88,013 Per Year
