Job summary

IBM Technology Sales is seeking an entry-level Technology Seller intern in Austin, TX. This center-based role blends consultative selling, technical demonstrations, and AI-powered sales tools to help organizations evaluate and adopt IBM solutions.

The role emphasizes demand creation, opportunity identification, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive customer success and growth. Bachelor’s degree pursued with strong communication and analytical skills is expected.

Qualifications

Actively enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student.
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to start date in a related field (Business, CS, IT, Engineering, etc.).
Strong interest in technology, digital selling, consultative sales, and solving client business challenges.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts to business and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Create demand and identify opportunities within assigned territories, accounts, and product portfolios through outbound, inbound, and digital engagement.
Engage and qualify prospective customers through phone, email, social media, video outreach, campaigns, and virtual events.
Develop and maintain an active pipeline by progressing opportunities through the sales cycle, and supporting renewal and expansion opportunities.
Participate in discovery conversations to understand business objectives and success measures.
Deliver virtual demonstrations and value discussions that connect IBM capabilities to customer outcomes.
Act as a trusted advisor by maintaining product knowledge and communicating IBM value propositions.
