Job summary

Middleburg Communities is seeking a Business Technology Operations Manager based in Vienna, VA. You will own day-to-day technology operations for 250+ employees across multiple offices, sites, and communities, managing hardware lifecycle, procurement, and MSP coordination.

As you build trust, your scope will expand into business systems, vendor strategy, and cross-functional project ownership, with CTO mentorship and opportunities for growth. Travel about 30% is required across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in IT/CS/MIS, or related field, with 5–10 years of experience.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting, imaging, and device lifecycle understanding.
• Foundational networking and security hygiene knowledge; vendor management interest.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CTO on cost analysis, vendor evaluation and process improvement.
• Own lifecycle of company-issued technology: config, deployment, maintenance, retirement.
• Perform hands-on hardware work: upgrades, imaging, setup.
• Administer user accounts and access within defined boundaries.
• Coordinate with MSP for patching, security, and device compliance.
• Travel ~30% to offices, communities, and sites to deploy and support tech.
