Job summary

Empower Strategies in Arlington, VA is seeking an IT & Business Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day tech support, systems administration, and efficient operations. You will troubleshoot technical challenges and help maintain secure, productive workflows across the organization.

You will own technical projects, coordinate with internal and external IT teams, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment while supporting employees with the tools they need to succeed.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in IT support, help desk operations, desktop support, or a similar technical support role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical certifications and relevant professional experience.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related tools.
• Experience working with IT service management and ticketing platforms such as Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and user-access issues.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple support requests and projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical employees.
• Experience collaborating with employees at all levels of an organization, as well as external vendors and technology partners.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical support and troubleshooting hardware, software, computer systems, and business applications to resolve employee issues efficiently.
• Managing technology onboarding and offboarding, including equipment setup, account provisioning, access management, and new employee orientations.
• Setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting audiovisual systems and conference room technology for internal and client meetings.
• Supporting hardware and software upgrades, system enhancements, and other technology-related projects.
• Serving as the primary point of contact between the agency and its parent company's IT team to resolve technical issues, coordinate support requests, and maintain compliance with established technology and security standards.
• Assisting with technology asset management, system maintenance, and process improvements to support operational efficiency.
• Providing additional business operations and administrative support as needed.
