Job summary

Truist Audit Manager is responsible for providing a leadership role in the delivery of high-risk, complex and value-added independent and objective risk-based internal audit assurance and advisory services. The Audit Manager will proactively coach junior team members by providing candid and constructive feedback.

Essential duties include leading engagements, setting quality expectations, developing reports, and providing advisory services on new systems and changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, IT security, accounting, business or related field.
• Six to eight years of banking or auditing experience.
• Strong knowledge of technology, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure and IT trends.
• Strong knowledge of IT general controls, IT application controls, and SDLC.
• Knowledge of COSO, COBIT, NIST, SOX, PCI DSS frameworks.
• Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to identify root causes and provide remediation.

Responsibilities

• Engagement Manager of high risk and complex audit engagements; plan, scope and develop test plans including data analytics.
• Set quality expectations and assess controls to determine effectiveness.
• Develop audit reports aligned with risk appetite and present to stakeholders.
• Identify substantive issues and provide solutions beyond paperwork.
• Coach and mentor junior team members with feedback and guidance.
• Leverage expertise in technology risk, cloud tech, data governance and digital trends.
• Manage timely delivery of audits, projects and advisory work.
• Provide advisory services in new systems, processes or changes.
