Job summary

Truist is seeking an Audit Manager to lead high-risk, complex audits with a focus on technology risk, data governance, and modernization initiatives. You will coach junior staff, manage multiple engagements, and drive independent assurance and advisory services with a strong emphasis on technology controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, IT security, accounting, business or related field.
• Six to eight years of banking, auditing or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of technology, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, IT service management processes and IT industry trends.
• Strong knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs), IT Application Controls (ITACs), and the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong knowledge of IT, information security and Cloud management and control frameworks (COSO, COBIT, NIST, SOX, PCI DSS).
• Strong knowledge, ability and expertise in audit and other areas of banking and financial services.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead high risk and more complex audit engagements by planning, scoping and developing the test plan with data analytics.
• Set quality expectations and evaluate effectiveness of technology processes and risk management practices.
• Develop audit reports aligned with Truist's risk appetite framework and present to stakeholders.
• Identify substantive issues and provide practical remediation solutions.
• Coach and mentor junior team members and promote methodical audit execution.
• Provide advisory services during implementation of new systems and changes to existing ones.
