Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography to support the Interventional Radiology team at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS.

The role requires vigilance in patient safety, image quality, and real-time clinical communication to guide vascular interventions. You will perform high-precision imaging, maintain equipment, and ensure regulatory standards are met, with a day shift and potential call obligations.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire date (AHA or ARC).
• ARRT Radiography credential within 3 months of hire date.
• Kansas Board of Healing Arts licensure within 3 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-precision diagnostic procedures to identify peripheral vascular disease and provide data for treatment plans.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort; alert physicians to abnormal findings in real time.
• Convert clinical findings into high-quality images and data within PACS for clear vascular assessment.
• Optimize parameters and equipment to meet regulatory standards for diagnostic integrity.

• Execute high-precision diagnostic procedures to identify peripheral vascular disease, providing the foundational data necessary for life-saving treatment plans.
• Champion patient safety and comfort by vigilantly monitoring physiological responses and alerting physicians to critical abnormalities in real-time.
• Translate complex clinical findings into high-quality images and comprehensive data within PACS, ensuring the medical team has a clear, accurate map of the patient's vascular health.
• Optimize technical parameters and equipment performance to guarantee every scan meets the highest regulatory standards for diagnostic integrity.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
